Ward Industries/Milltown Foods were the first company in Ireland to achieve the BRC Agents and Brokers Global Standard in 2014. The standard is a management system for managing Safety, Quality and Legality in a non-manufacturing business.
It is aimed at companies in the food and packaging supply chain that provide services for the purchase, importation, distribution or trade of products.
We provide a critical link in the movement and trade of products and influence supplier product safety and quality standards as well as being responsible for maintaining an effective chain of traceability.
The standard is designed to reflect best practice and provide a risk-based approach to product safety. It ensures your customers have confidence in your operational services and supply chain management.
See Certificate of ConformityThe standard specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It is a voluntary standard and provides a framework that an organisation can follow and can be integrated with other management systems standards, most commonly ISO 9001 which can further assist in accomplishing business goals.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) defines an environmental management system as “part of the management system used to manage environmental aspects, fulfil compliance obligations, and address risks and opportunities.” The framework in the ISO 14001 standard can be used within a plan-do-check-act (PDCA) approach to continuous improvement.
See CertificateWard Industries/Milltown Foods have been certified to ISO 9001 since 1996. ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of more than 160 countries. The current version of ISO 9001 was released in September 2015.
